Publishers of the 20th Century

I just got an email that selected me since I blog.

It’s was a classically bad corporate email. The font on my name didn’t match the rest of the message.. screaming out “INSERT NAME HERE”… and there was much talk about the excitement for some fiction or poetry books that will be out in the Fall.

This publisher wants me to come to their booth at BEA and hopes I will be excited about he chance to get on of his imagebeautiful posters.

Sales posters.. yeah, that’s the way to attract bloggers.

Ordinarily, I’d delete the message and move on.. it really wasn’t that bad.. but the email came with TWO attachments. Both were this cool logo.

Mission accomplished Mr. Publisher. You got me to blog about you.

🙂

‘Best Seller’ Marketing Duo Team To Help Authors Build a Platform

Peter WinickBook Marketing Strategists Warren Whitlock and Peter Winick announce a new value priced webinar series for authors who want to turn their content into self sustaining income streams while keeping cost inline.

“We have used webinars for clients to save on travel costs and get cost saving efficiencies, but I normally work one on one with my clients” said Whitlock. headshot“Peter has done the same with some very large book and information product launches. However, we know there is a need for authors wanting this knowledge so we’ve come up with a program to combine our talents at a fraction of our costs. It’s our author stimulus package”

The Platform Roadmap Coaching Series is the least expensive way to engage the same top talent that millionaire and NY Times best selling authors rely on to focus not only on your book but to enable you to develop a business with multiple income streams such as keynote speaking, training, consulting and such.

The webinar series will be held in June with authors who are accepted into the program. The group will be large enough to lower costs, but much smaller than most online courses. Winick and Whitlock will supplement the webinars with private coaching to insure each other has a success.

Limited seats for new clients are available at http://PlatformRoadmap.com

Peter Winick has over twenty years of experience and has worked with a variety of thought leaders. In addition, he has built and managed several consulting and professional development organizations.

Warren Whitlock has been a serial entrepreneur over the past 23 years, focusing on book marketing, authors, publishing and conversation strategies for social media. He is co-author of the first book on Twitter “Twitter Revolution: How Social Media and Mobile Marketing is Changing the Way We Do Business & Market Online”

They Will Buy Your Book When it Fits In With Their WHY

So many authors tell me that the world needs their book.

Even more want to emphasize that their book is full of great content and that others who have read it agree.. further, those who read and apply it’s message will have better live.

So?

It’s great that you book has the power to change lives. The more this is so, the more important to you to make sure you have a book marketing strategy to reach the widest audience possible. The more people you reach, the more lives will be improved.

But please remember that most of the people buying books do not buy for WHAT is in the book, they make the purchasing decision to rationalize their own WHY.

Here’s great video on how most of us are marketing backwards.. and how to turn that inside out.
