Twitter accounts are becoming almost as effective as book signings at promoting an author’s book. It creates a closeness to the author that readers would otherwise not experience.

I am glad to hear that. I was wondering if other authors used Twitter. I just finished my first novel. It’s called Paradise Academy, and it’s an American-written, Japanese-based novel. This is a relatively new genre, and I wanted to talk with real authors to get opinions.

Twitter is my favorite. It lets me connect all aspects of my business in one place.

It does help us to relate person to person and I think lots of people are looking for that.

As a book marketer, I use Twitter every day to pass along marketing tips and industry news to the authors who work with me. It allows for quick updates and I can quickly pass along useful links.

I’m still looking at Twitter as just another fad that will pass. I’ve always been a conservative, though.

You bet. While I’m not always sure why or what to Tweet, I’ve realized, over time, that I’m able to develop a deeper relationship with both the people who I want to know as well as those who want to know me better.

I couldn’t see why not – everyone can get some kind of great use with twitter! Books and authors are tweeted a lot, and great authors would definitely round up a nice following.
