Allowing your readers to determine exactly what point of interest they want to search for based on a commonality instead of a rational.

The category needs to determine the content, while the tags determine what's IN the content itself. You portray of bad example of categorizing and tags in this case.

I think you should add “No pictures or graphics” to your design list. Also, “Too many typos or instances of incorrect grammar”. People like pictures to break up all the text and many are immediately turned of by typos and bad grammar, assuming (perhaps unfairly) that you are unintelligent.
